The bulbs are a bit larger than standard ones, and work as expected (turning them off then on again within 2 seconds switches them between their three modes). The steady orange mode is nice and warm, but not very bright. The flickering mode doesn't look exactly like a real flame, but it is a pleasant effect, also with good warm colours, throwing light quite similar to a big candle or small wood fire. I set up two in the same room, and they flicker in phase (probably both getting their timing from the AC) so a fix or workaround might be needed to have several of them in the same room together without being in phase. I think these are quite cool for social, atmospheric lighting in dining rooms, on balconies, etc.
